Luminair does not require an internet connection for control over lights on the same local network. Luminair only requires a local network connection, meaning the Wi-Fi router that you connect to does not have to be connected to the internet. All network communications are routed locally from your iOS device to the Art-Net or sACN device.

While the app doesn't require an internet connection to control lights, if you plan to utilize iCloud syncing, you will need to connect your device to the internet in order for changes to be synced to Apple's iCloud servers and back down to any of your other devices. If you don't frequently have your device connected to the internet, either via Wi-Fi or Cellular, we don't recommend using iCloud syncing in Luminair.
