How does Luminair work?
Luminair transmits DMX control data over Wi-Fi (or ethernet through 3rd party adapters), via Art-Net and/or sACN E1.31 protocols, to compatible interfaces or nodes on the same local network.
Luminair works directly with any Art-Net or sACN DMX-ethernet interface. Some of the most common interfaces used with Luminair are (in no particular order) are DMXKing eDMX, Enttec ODE, ELC DMX buddy, and Pathway Pathport, however any Art-Net or sACN E1.31 compliant interface will work. You don't need a master console or PC/Mac in this scenario, just connect the interface into any basic Wi-Fi router via ethernet, and run a DMX cable from the interface to your DMX lights.
Luminair also can transmit control messages to Smart lighting systems like Philips Hue in v2.5 or greater, right alongside DMX-controllable lighting and other gear.
