There are various ways to use Luminair along with other lighting consoles, depending on their capabilities and features. For consoles that directly support the Art-Net or sACN E1.31 protocols, communication between Luminair and the console is as simple as being connected to the same network. For consoles that do not support Art-Net or sACN E1.31, but have DMX input capabilities, an Art-Net to DMX converter will allow you to send Luminair's signal directly to the console. For consoles that that do not support Art-Net and DO NOT support DMX-input , Luminair can be used with a DMX merger. DMX mergers allow you to combine two or more control sources, such as Luminair and another console, to control one single DMX universe. Many Art-Net and sACN interfaces have DMX merging capabilitis built-in.
